Victoria Cook a student at Ballakermeen High School in the Isle of Man approached her tutor and asked if her year 8 class could hold a fundraiser f or Thandi’s Endangered Species Association. The students bought in a large selection of homemade ca kes and buns and sold them to other students and teachers at the school and raised awareness abo ut the story of Thandi.

On the 10 th July Angie Goody founder of TESA, went to the scho ol and spoke to 250 year 8 students telling them all about the work TESA does and how, in the future the students could also get involved with volunteering projects and helping to protect these endangered animals. At the end of the talk Victoria class presented Angie with the ch eque for £140

Without donations like this we wouldn’t be able to do what we do. This money goes a long way towards buying vital equipment to track and keep th ese animals safe. A big Thank You to Victoria for suggesting the fundraiser, to class L4 and all the students and staff who supported them.
